Artist's reflection: Wang creates a gorgeous contemporary piece of landscape art. He provides enough detail to pull the viewer into the painting, and holds back just enough to allow viewers to add their own details - in their mind. 
 
Drawing on the expressiveness of Chinese freehand brushwork, the painter uses wide knife strokes and oil paint selection to create dotted lines and blocks. He leverages cold and warm colors to help create changes in hue, gradation and tone. At the same time he doesn't bother worrying about details when painting and adds a special place of focus in the artwork. From afar the art is imposing, and from near it's thrilling.
