Artist's reflection: Here, Zhou used an abstract like style to paint a close up of part of a landscape. Stand close and get one image, stand back and get another. 
 
By superimposing several layers of different colors on gray, Zhou creates richer shadows that result in a more three-dimensional painting. At the same time, the contrasting colors she uses give viewers of her painting a sense of harmony and pleasure.
