Artist's reflection: The scene is not particularly exciting and while Hong provides a great outline and chooses beautiful colors for the scene, he decided to let the viewers add details in their minds to make the piece their own. 
 
Hong Yu, who is originally from a rural setting, has a deep connection with the four seasons and a special affection for their characteristics including the rain, snow, wind and frost. During his 1,000+ kilometer journey from Anhui Province, China to Beijing, China he captured these characteristics and the atmosphere that enveloped him. Through his artwork, Hong likes to convey to others what he sees and how his heart interprets it.
