Artist's reflection: Darker colors don't need to be dreary or morbid. As a master artist, Wang is able to use darker colors and still develop hopeful and warming scenes through a variety of techniques and his experience. 
 
First, Wang's paintings are colorful and they don’t give people a feeling of openness. Second, his sophisticated and fast brush strokes are well expressed in landscape paintings, which are quite natural and unrestrained.
