Artist: Du Qingwei
 
Artist's reflection: In this contemporary artwork, Du's image within the painting takes up only small fraction of the space. The image does have some details, but is also abstract. The viewers can interpret what they see based on how they feel rather than what the painter felt when creating the image. 
 
After speaking with friends in the spring of 2018, Du Qingwei decided to create paintings of the 24 Solar Terms. Each Solar Term is completed on that day. However the content has no relevance to the Solar Term itself. It is based his feelings of the day. And within one lunar year all 24 will be completed.
