Artist's reflection: The title does a great job of explaining part of what's going on, but it certainly isn't the whole picture. By dividing the painting into multiple parts: a foreground, a background, a center, a top and a bottom Zhang is able to draw your focus and interest to multple areas to create a complex scene. 
 
Smooth, soft and colorful can aptly describe Zhang's style.
