Artist: Hong Yu
 
Artist's reflection: The artist masterfully creates three parts of focus (sky, buildings and trees, ground in front of the wall) in this artwork through the use of color and space. His blotting technique and use of color makes the painting seem softer. 
 
Hong Yu, who is originally from a rural setting, has a deep connection with the four seasons and a special affection for their characteristics including the rain, snow, wind and frost. During his 1,000+ kilometer journey from Anhui Province, China to Beijing, China he captured these characteristics and the atmosphere that enveloped him. Through his artwork, Hong likes to convey to others what he sees and how his heart interprets it.
