Artist's reflection: Many societal emotions have caused some people to perform extreme ways, some of which have resulted in harming others - even children. There have been many such incidents in recent years. 
 
The adult world and the world for children are different places. Children belong to a "vulnerable group" because they are not equal in mind and physical strength to adults. Just like a person driving a car and a pedestrian are not equal in strength.
 
At the top of this contemporary artwork, the wheels of the car and leather shoes worn by people represent the strong side of the adult world and society. In the lower half of the painting are broken colorful pieces and toys. They represent the weaker side of the world and society and thus appear very small and low in the painting. This work uses a child's perspective to view the world.
