Artist's reflection: Here, the artist uses a combination of blotting and long brush strokes to create beautiful scene. His technique makes the clouds look like their moving and the trees seem soft and supple. 
 
Hong Yu, who is originally from a rural setting, has a deep connection with the four seasons and a special affection for their characteristics including the rain, snow, wind and frost. During his 1,000+ kilometer journey from Anhui Province, China to Beijing, China he captured these characteristics and the atmosphere that enveloped him. Through his artwork, Hong likes to convey to others what he sees and how his heart interprets it.
