Artist's reflection: In this fantasy contemporary artwork, Yu employs many detailed items to surround the main focus of the painting - the girl and the figure with the horse's head. Even though there are many items, Yu masterfully uses color to separate them. 
 
Yu's paintings reflect an ethereal mood with awkward feelings that create a fairy tale place filled with love, innocence, happiness and imagination - which is lost in the adult world.
