Artist's reflection: In this contemporary piece, the woman gives a look like "what are you doing?". But not in a mean way. It is more as if she is curious. Wang deploys mostly bright colors and even the woman wears light colors. 
 
In his contemporary artwork, Wang combines traditional Chinese elements e.g. brush strokes, white space, boldness - with western oil painting techniques. His paintings are of a traditional Chinese style, but do not lose the basic expression of oil painting - thus presenting a different feeling. In Wang's "Lady" series of artwork, the denseness of brush strokes and the contrast of colors are everywhere. The paintings are full of poetic and abstract shapes and deeply reflect the emotions of women.
