Artist's reflection: Through the use of body poses and facial expression Wang creates a scene where two older women appear to be discussing something. He also adds details in some parts of the painting, but not others. Why? 
 
In his contemporary artwork, Wang combines traditional Chinese elements e.g. brush strokes, white space, boldness - with western oil painting techniques. His paintings are of a traditional Chinese style, but do not lose the basic expression of oil painting - thus presenting a different feeling. In Wang's "Lady" series of artwork, the denseness of brush strokes and the contrast of colors are everywhere. The paintings are full of poetic and abstract shapes and deeply reflect the emotions of women.
