Artist's reflection: A portrait of a girl, who seems a bit serious, perhaps contemplating something. This is a darker painting, specifically having a dark gray background, and deeper and more saturated black and blue dress. Wang's brush strokes are smooth and blended. 
 
In his contemporary artwork, Wang combines traditional Chinese elements e.g. brush strokes, white space, boldness - with western oil painting techniques. His paintings are of a traditional Chinese style, but do not lose the basic expression of oil painting - thus presenting a different feeling. In Wang's "Lady" series of artwork, the denseness of brush strokes and the contrast of colors are everywhere. The paintings are full of poetic and abstract shapes and deeply reflect the emotions of women.
