Artist's reflection: While the background is darker, the image of the person is much brighter. It looks like the person's mouth is covered as she looks at you. What does Wang mean by this? 
 
Wang's "Newspaper" series includes urban landscapes, modern figures, mineral water bottles, wine glasses, books and flowers. Through the use of newspapers, the artist recreates a relationship with different times, and strives to present concrete things in via the newspapers. The result brings the image and the content of the newspapers together. And through this process of colliding the different eras, we absorb an even deeper meaning from the art.
