Artist's reflection: By using his experience and skills, this master artist has translated the dream-like landscape he saw into a contemporary painting. The sky, with the sun as a focal point, and the dark colored ground provide the needed depth to add the appropriate dimension to the paper. 
 
Dong's contemporary watercolor paintings are mainly based on the natural scenery of the four seasons. Many of his works are created from his travels or daily life. His paintings are simple and generous, but pass on to the viewer unique feelings about the four seasons. It is as if through the paintings the viewer can feel the the comfort and calmness of close contact with nature.
