Artist's reflection: Here, a crowd of bottles is standing together in the middle on top of horizontal pen like impressions. The painter uses the strength difference between them to complete his painting. 
 
The silence in Zhang’s paintings comes from the peacefulness of his soul. In his paintings, it is as though each color is painted on a limestone colored wall. The colors used are infiltrated by gray and white tones – thus losing their original strength, but softly and elegantly blending together.
