Artist's reflection: A darker more gloomy contemporary painting this one focuses on images of newspapers, and one in particular. The overarching images is obvious, but isn't clear. What is Wang's point to this painting? 
 
Wang's "Newspaper" series includes urban landscapes, modern figures, mineral water bottles, wine glasses, books and flowers. Through the use of newspapers, the artist recreates a relationship with different times, and strives to present concrete things in via the newspapers. The result brings the image and the content of the newspapers together. And through this process of colliding the different eras, we absorb an even deeper meaning from the art.
